Patrons

ELF is fortunate to be represented by a team of one patron and three vice-patrons.

Patron

Steve Rider

Steve RiderSteve has been associated with the charity for over 6 years, 5 as Vice Patron. During this period he has helped in many ways including his Sportsman's Evening fundraising event.  In addition Steve has attended many events including the Haematology Centre opening and cheque presentations which have raised the profile of the charity.

"It was my brother's cancer in the late nineties that brought me in contact with ELF", comments Steve "and his long term requirements means that ELF has become a vital part of his life. It is the same for so many individuals across the South West. Maintaining a home in Devon, I have become more closely involved with the Charity and when asked to continue the work of Noel Edmonds I had no hesitation in accepting the invitation to become ELF's new Patron, which is an honour. I would like thank Noel for his fantastic work as Patron over the last 10 years."

Vice Patrons

Sir John Evans

Sir John EvansSir John is the retired Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall Police. He has been involved with ELF for many years. He was involved with the Auction of Promises event in February 2009.

John Dalton, ELF Trustee "living in Honiton, I have followed Jo's career with interest and am delighted she has become a Vice Patron for ELF. The charity aims to provide funds to help people across the South West beat leukaemia and with Jo's winning mentality I am sure great strides will continue to be made."

"It was a lovely surprise to be asked to become Vice Patron of ELF", commented Jo "a charity I have supported over many years. I had no hesitation in accepting as it is such a great honour. I look forward to getting involved in a number of events over the coming months and years, particularly fitness and sport related."
